The boat
Wiring system

The whole of the electrical wiring has been renewed with two goals in mind: weight savings and reliability. Some copper cables have been replaced by light weight aluminium cables, the same type of which can be found on the Airbus. Three companies within the Group were involved in this work. The design of the electrical and electronic system, which includes more than 1000 connections was entrusted to Safran Engineering Services. The cables themselves were made by Labinal (global leader in wiring civil aircraft) while Morpho (the world’s leader in biometric solutions) was in charge of fitting this aircraft standard system in the boat.
Just as in the aeronautical sector, the engineers were extremely rigorous in their work, as it is a precision job feeding the various cables through the boat and connecting them up.
